Shuttle conveyor
While circular conveyors and complex Power & Free systems are predominantly in high-throughput series production, where many similar components are transported on almost identical routes, the Kewesta shuttle system can be used to create far more individual solutions that allow a completely flexible workflow.
Components with different dimensions and weights often have to be transported in varying cycle times.
This is where the Kewesta shuttle solution comes in, with which almost anything can be moved on longer crossbeams, from small parts to larger workpieces. The spectrum ranges from lightweight sheet metal or aluminum parts to steel structures weighing tons.
Using one or more crane bridges and rotating switches, the traverses can be distributed over the side strands without having to stubbornly follow a fixed sequence. This is done in a space-saving way with right-angled deflections and thus allows a very compact system layout even for bulky components.
Conversely, you can also flexibly access the storage strings on the side - depending on which component is needed next.
Depending on the component weight and the desired throughput, the transport can be done manually or automatically. Driving forwards and backwards is also possible without any problems.
Kewesta relies on its sophisticated Power & Free modular system and can therefore also integrate Power & Free sections, buffers or lifting and lowering stations into the systems at any time (see also our Power & Free video).
Of course, as with all other Kewesta systems, the topic of saving energy is right at the top of the agenda, so that our customers save money and conserve valuable resources.
